Actress Julissa Bermudez

Julissa Bermudez is starting her summer of 2008 with a bang! Out of the lime light for a year the multi-talented Julissa returns as the NEW host on MTV's Pre-Show for America's Dance Crew! In Fall/Winter 2008 she will also make her presence known when she lights up the big screens in the highly anticipated release in The Weinstein Company movie Make It Happen starring opposite Mary Elizabeth Winsted.

The young starlet made her debut in 2003, representing the face of the New American Girl in our multi-cultural world on Telemundo/NBC sister channel MUN2 as the bilingual host to The Roof.  In 2005 Julissa would go ahead to break boundaries as the first Latina host to two of BET's hit shows, 106 & Park Live and The Center. Quickly becoming the "IT" girl in entertainment and watched by millions everyday, her youth, beauty, and drive are what have made her so successful. Mothers think of her as the girl next door and young girls nationwide admire her confidence and style.   

Julissa's determination and drive for success made her a favorite interviewer to A-list stars such as
Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Beyonce. In just a few years, Julissa established herself as one of the most sought after talents in the media industry as a first-rate broadcast personality in television.  

With all of her accomplishments, Julissa embarked bigger roles in the next step of her career. The multi-talented Julissa will go ahead to star in the critically acclaimed 2007 independent release
The Start Up starring opposite Judy Cortland.

A strong believer to always give back to the community, despite her busy schedule she lends her support to several notable charities.
Julissa demonstrates her support by participating in MAC's World Aids Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Walks and most recently traveling to her native country the Dominican Republic to distribute over 10,000 pairs of shoes during the devastation of Hurricane Noel, with Soles United. This beautiful, compassionate and humane starlet dreams of going back to the Dominican Republic to open an art school where underprivileged kids will be exposed to the arts in ways they otherwise would not.
