THE THIRD
ANNUAL DOMINICAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES CELEBRITY
ATTENDEES
Puerto Plata, Dominican
Republic – November 2, 2007 – Hollywood is heading
to the Dominican Republic! The Third Annual Dominican International
Film Festival announced an array of celebrities attending
this year’s event. The festival will be held at Sun
Village Resort & Spa in Cofresi Beach, Dominican Republic
from November 8-11, 2007. The beachfront festival kicks
off on November 8 with an opening night screening and gala,
and culminates with a special awards ceremony on Saturday
evening.
Special guests attending
the film festival include:
Dania Ramirez
A regular on the hit television series, “Heroes”
and was known for a reoccurring role in the final season
of “The Sopranos.” She can be seen in 2008’s
feature film, “Brooklyn to Manhattan.”
Manny Perez
Best known for his roles in this year’s critically
acclaimed “El Cantante” starring opposite Jennifer
Lopez and Mark Anthony and the hit television series “Rescue
Me.”
Kate Nauta
Singer, Actress and Model who can be seen in “The
Game Plan” with The Rock and Kyra Sedgwick and will
be performing at this year’s opening night gala.
Joe Pantoliano
Emmy Award Winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a
Drama Series for his role in “The Sopranos”
and starred opposite Marcia Gay Harden in “Canvas.”
Ramon Rodriguez
A well-known actor from the HBO series “The Wire”
and stars in “Bella,” the Toronto Film Festival
People’s Choice Award Winning Film. He can be seen
in upcoming films such as “Surfer, Dude” with
Matthew McConaughey and “Pride and Glory” opposite
Edward Norton and Colin Farrel.
Judge Reinhold
First made his mark on Hollywood in such legendary comedies
as “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “Beverly
Hills Cop,” he now concentrates his efforts on producing
films and television shows.
Jessy Terrero
Began his career directing music videos and in 2004 directed
his first feature film “Soul Plane” and “50
Cent: The New Breed.” Since then, he has appeared
in various television roles on “The Sopranos”
and “Brooklyn South” and directed next year’s
film “Brooklyn to Manhattan.”
Julissa Bermudez
Best known as BET host on the popular show “The Center”
and can be seen in the 2008 film “Make It Happen”
with Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Kelis
She became an international star with her hit singles, “Milkshake”
and “Bossy.” Her songs have been featured on
television shows such as “Entourage,” “30
Rock” and The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
and in films such as “Dodgeball,” “Mean
Girls” and “Coach Carter.”
